"I picked up Parallels because I really needed..."
I picked up Parallels because I really needed to run Windows on my M1 Mac, it’s been better than I thought it would be!!! The setup didn’t take long at all, and most of the apps I use day to day run smoothly without much fuss!!!
I’m giving it 4 stars because it can definitely hit the battery a bit harder than I’d like, and a couple of older programs get a little weird with ARM Windows!!! But overall, it’s been reliable for regular use and it means I don’t have to drag around a second laptop anymore, which is a huge win!!!

"USB devices worked without the usual hassle"
I mostly use Parallels so I can run a scanner and a USB dongle in Windows, it’s been painless. It picked both of them up quickly, and I didn’t have to dig through a bunch of settings or troubleshoot anything weird. For something as annoying as USB device support can be, this felt surprisingly smooth. Happy with it overall

"Okay, Parallels has been solid on my Mac"
I didn’t really expect to like using Parallels every day for work, but it’s been surprisingly stable. It almost never crashes, and my Windows apps just keep running like they’re supposed to. that’s about all I needed, so I can’t complain too much

Most of my business apps run fine on it, though a couple of programs do lag or act a little weird sometimes. Maybe I’m just being picky or blaming the wrong thing, but it’s not totally perfect. Still, it’s usable for day-to-day work.

After an update, Windows wouldn’t start properly in Parallels, and I was getting a bit stressed. I reached out to support, and umm, they walked me through a few simple steps without making it confusing. There was a little back and forth, but they figured it out and explained what had happened. Really glad it’s working again because it saved me a lot of hassle...

"Pretty painless license activation"
I bought my parallels license and, i was kind of expecting some annoying activation issue, but it went smoother than I thought. The key showed up quickly and worked on the first try, unless I’m forgetting something, but I’m sure there weren’t any weird extra steps.

I did have to sign in once, which I guess is normal, and then that was basically it. Maybe I got lucky, but it was nice to have software licensing just work for once. No real complaints from me

I’ve been using Parallels to run a Windows VM on my Mac, it’s been smoother than I thought it would be. Apps open quickly, I don’t really run into lag most of the time, and switching back and forth between Mac and Windows feels natural. I mostly use it for work and a couple of older Windows-only programs, and so far it’s done what I need without causing headaches. Setup was simple too, which I appreciate because nobody wants to waste half a day just getting things to work. Overall, it’s been a solid experience and feels like the kind of tool that just respects your time

I use parallels pretty much every day, i feel a little misled by how much people made it sound like it would drain my Mac. It doesn’t chew through RAM or battery nearly as much as I expected. Windows runs smoothly enough for what I need, even when I’ve got other apps open in the background

"Decent app, but the price hikes are frustrating"
The app works fine and I’ve used it without many issues, but the subscription price keeps creeping up and it’s starting to feel like too much. What bothers me more is that it feels like users are just being ignored when we bring this up. I like the app, but the cost is getting harder to justify.
